Seems my CD rom disk drive has had it. Bought the mail on sunday today for the LOTR special got home and the drive won't load. checked it with outher disks too so it shouldn't just be the disk cos it won't load the Meatloaf disk that was in it on friday. Sugestions anyone?

Note it sort of runs on the iMac till it runs out of memory.

Okies here we go, open disc door, blow into it to clean out dust, put througth a cleaning CD if you have one. If that dosnt work open case and make sure all the wires are plugged in correctly (kinda hard to with a laptop though, lol). Still no luck then try reinstalling the cd drive & drivers etc. Failing that you can be pretty certain it's a hardware failure of some sort unfortunately.
