couldn't think for anything for an advent thing today so i wrote you a fairy tale.
"Bee and the Marvelous Magical Railway."
Bee leapt out of bed one crisp Thursday morning in a high state of excitement, she had A level english class to go to, who wouldn't be delighted?
She ran to the bathroom before dashing downstairs in her eagerness for breakfast. At 8 she left to get a life from her Fairy Godmother Shelia in her golden coach. Soon they where speeding along the road, getting to the tech in record time.
There Bee was heart broken to learn her teacher was sick but luckily had been able to send in work for the class. Bee took her work and headed to the train station to go home to her castle. The train arroved precisly on time and was warm and comfortable and simply flew along the tracks getting Bee home safely.
Now wasn't that a nice story?
Want to hear the real one? No? To bad.
"The truth behind fairy tales"
Bee was dragged from her bed at 7:10 by her mother. She ran to the bathroom and hurridly got dress cos it was bloody freezing! before dashing down the stairs to stand leaning against the glass fronted fire which was the only heat on at that time.
Drove up to Shelia's and sat waiting in the car for 10mins then when to check she was still going, she was. We had to stop for petrol then got stuck in a mile long tailbaack due to a 3 car pile up cos someone decided to drive down the wrong side of the duel carriageway at Millbrook. Got into the tech at 9:05 for my 9:00 class got told Kathy was ill but had left us work. Left tech at 9:15 to get 9:30 train home. due to delays and train failure got train at 10:55 so i'd stood on the platform at Whiteabby for 35 mins (its bloody freezing here). Train as usual has no heat working but then the last train bought in the fleet is over 30yrs old who knows what ahe the rest are (though oddly the really old ones with the lean out and turn handles work best). We got as far a greenisland bout 5 mins down the line before we had to stop and wait for 5 mins for someone to switch the points over manually. Made it too Whitehead where we had to be chucked off train as the one behind was catching up and on a single line between Larne and W'head theres nowhere to pass. Plus the train we where on was suppossed to have been to larne and back by this time.
T?ranslink had arranged a bus for us to take us sytraight to Larne but the other train arrived first so we all piled on that. Again there was no heat made it to Larne at 11. 45 mins after i was expected. wlked round to granny to thaw out before mum brought me up home am sitting here still wearing gloves with fire lit and the heat on with a hot watter bottle on my knee.

You'll be pleaseed to know that our buses are almost as bad as ur trains. u wait for ages then 2 turn up, the heating only works in summer and they are always kinda smelly and packed with angry xmas shoppers!
Thgis is why despite it being cold enough to freeze my nipples right off i walk proudly to work and now I have a thumping head ache for my trouble.
I share your pain dear. *hugs*
Come over anytime to share my warm house.
