13th october 1307 2000 Knights Templar where murdered by order of the Pope. The day was then declared evil and this may be where some of the superstition comes from.
13th may 1927: German stock market collaspes causing inflation, starvation and contributed to the rise of Hitler.
13th November 1970: Cyclone hot Bangledesh killing half a million people.
13th October 1972: Plane crashed in the Andes survivers resorted to cannabalism to keep living. 2 months later they where rescued. Novelised and filmed as Alive.
